TIMBOON

IMG_0567

Unfortunately I don’t know the history of this salvia which must have involucrata x karwinskii ‘Winter Lipstick’ as one of its parents.  The foliage looks similar but it grows smaller which is an advantage.   The flower head is more congested than ‘Winter Lipstick’.    It will likely stop at 2m high.     The cerise winter flowers seem to start flowering a bit later than the parent also.   It is very similar -  not for the amateur to identify if you only have one of the two similar plants, especially not in flower!

Sorry am out of Timboon for a bit but Winter Lipstick is available.    (Sept 23)

Price:  $9
