KOYAMAE

Exif_JPEG_PICTURE

Koyamae is a Japanese salvia which has grown on me over a few years.  It is almost prostrate in its habit and needs shade in warm climates.   Koyamae has lots of spikes of quite large lemon flowers starting about Xmas for up to 5 months in warmer months,  then it becomes  fairly dormant to get  strength to go again.

It will spread about a metre then it will layer and continue increasing.   It is not a ‘runner’ to be wary of,   at least not in Albury.

As at July 2022 I am out of stock but nipponica is very similar and in stock.
