Incredibly ferny foliage. Low Winter dormant plant with spikes of blue (occasionally white) flowers. Should be cut down after flowering and regenerated very fast and flowers again. Needs cold Winter, and fierce sunny conditions. Protect emerging shoots from snails. Does best inland. Recommended for beginners. Drought and frost tolerant.
